Lawn Care Program
Our Lawn Care Program covers 6 rounds of service to enhance both the
health and appearance of your lawn year round.
Round 1: Pre- and Post-Emergent Application Part I
Before spring begins, we apply a pre-emergent herbicide to control crabgrass and
other summer grassy weeds and post-emergent to control winter grassy and
broadleaf weeds. [Note: If fescue was seeded in the fall, we will skip this
pre-emergent application and apply dry fertilizer instead.]
Round 2: Pre- and Post-Emergent Application Part II/Fertilization
In this phase we apply additional pre-emergent to extend control of summer weeds
and post-emergent to control broadleaf weeds. Additionally, we apply
granular fertilizer for spring green up.
Round 3: Late Spring Fertilization
Toward the end of spring, we apply high nitrogen fertilizer for healthy, lush
turf and spot treat crabgrass, dallisgrass, nutsedge, and other weeds.
Round 4: Late Summer Fertilization
In this round, we apply summer stress granular fertilizer so your lawn will
remain green for the rest of the growing season and continue with any necessary
spot treatment for summer weeds.
Round 5: Fall Pre-Emergent
As fall begins, we apply pre-emergent herbicide to control bluegrass, chickweed,
henbit, and other annual winter weeds and post-emergent to
control existing broadleaf weeds. [Fescue lawns will be fertilized.]
Round 6: Winterizing Fertilization/Weed Control
In late fall, we apply high potassium fertilizer to strengthen root systems and
prepare turf for the upcoming winter months, as well as control winter broadleaf
and grassy weed. [Fescue lawns receive fertilization and pre-emergent
application for winter weed control.]
